The two-story, pagoda-inspired design of Lemongrass Grill Seafood & Bar, located in the heart of Old Kapa’a Town, is a landmark beacon for diners seeking the highest quality hand-selected seafood, prepared just the way they like it. The sparkling interior is Pacific Rim, and everywhere you cast your eyes – at the walls, in corners of the rooms, you’ll see displays of fresh orchards, art, vases, paintings, and carvings and sculptures that will fascinate you.
Executive Chef Marvin Ching, who honed his culinary skills at the Chart House, Huggo’s Seafood & Steak Restaurant at the Phoenix Country Club in Arizona, and at the four-star Halekulani Hotel, displays a full range of kitchen skills and his repertoire puts the emphasis on fresh seafood, fresh local produce, preparation and quality. The menu is largely of his own invention and his starters of Tango Prawns wrapped with Hong Kong Angel Hair Pasta served with mixed spring greens in a Dijon vinaigrette, or Crab cakes dipped in tempura batter served with salsa fruit sauce, or a crunchy Macadamia Salad of shrimp mixed with local organic greens, tomatoes, and green onions topped with chili oil and Thai vinaigrette, demonstrates his confident command of flavor, texture, color and visual presentation.
There’s mouth-watering combos of Steak and Prawns, Steak and King crab legs, and Steak and Lobster tail, and delightful offerings of Steamed Fish with shiitake mushrooms, green onions, parsley, and sesame soy with veggies of the day and jasmine rice, or a delicious Mixed Seafood of sauteed Prawns, Scallops, and Calamari coated with red Thai curry Sauce. Specialties include a half Roasted Chicken with Italian herbs, Guava BBQ Ribs of Kilauea Baby Back ribs cooked just right and glazed to perfection with Guava BBQ Sauce served with cole slaw and roasted potatoes.

There’s a terrific Rack of Lamb roasted with rosemary and serve with mint jelly, red wine sauce, and veggies of the day, a tasty seafood stew cioppino-style of fresh seafood in a signature Lemongrass Broth served with jasmine rice, and a Broiled New York Steak served with sauteed mushrooms and a roasted-to-perfection Prime Rib Au Jus. And, for vegans, there's a Vegetarian Delight of steamed broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, and red bell peppers ina superb soy, ginger, garlic sauce.
